HEIC to JPG

If a website rejected your iPhone photo, it is probably because the file is HEIC. The free FreeKitHub HEIC to JPG tool converts it to JPG in your browser, without uploading it.

Quick answer

  1. Open HEIC to JPG.
  2. Add your .heic photos.
  3. Download the JPG files.

What is HEIC and why sites reject it

HEIC is Apple's default camera format on iPhone. Many upload forms only accept JPG or PNG, so a HEIC file gets refused even though the photo itself is fine.

Convert on iPhone (browser)

You can convert right on your iPhone in Safari or any mobile browser. Open HEIC to JPG, pick your photos and download the JPGs.

To avoid HEIC in future, go to Settings › Camera › Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will then be saved as JPG.

After converting: hit a KB limit

Some forms also cap file size. If your JPG is too big, open Image Compressor and set a target KB. For very small limits, shrink the photo with Image Resizer first.

Privacy: converted locally, no upload

Conversion happens in your browser. Your photos are not uploaded and stay on your device.
